Deliver Us From Evil is a diary of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s most startling investigations. First published in 1973 it is one of the earliest books about Ed and Lorraine Warren, who went on to become the world’s most famous demonologists and paranormal investigators.
Almost everyone has experienced one form of supernatural activity or another, some have been driven to destruction by it. This book deals with the investigations and reports of supernatural activities such as the case of the demons that drove an 18-year old girl to practice human vampirism.

A breakdown of some of Ed and Lorraine's cases. Great shorts, over too soon!
Every single book I've read is totally captivating to me. These people are selfless and always willing to help. I agree with how they have been trying to get enough information out there so people can know how to stay away from inviting Evil into their life. I highly recommend the book The Demonologist. I was looking forward to reading this book because I thought it went into detail the cases as well as what was done about them. Unfortunately once they would get you hooked on a case, they would leave it at a cliff hanger to go to the website and read the case. I don't think it was worth the price to get what wasn't a full story. I would have loved for more information.
This was a fast and enjoyable read. The author writes in a fresh and fast-moving style that keeps the reader riveted. Mr. Sawyer presents investigational narratives about several of the warren's cases. Among the best are the Possessed, Satan's Daughter, The Voodoo Doll, and The Incredible Case of Maria. Also included are various drawings by Ed Warren.
If you are looking for an introduction to the variety of cases the Warrens have experienced, look no further than this book.
This is by no means a bad book but if you're looking for stories based on the case files of the Warrens there are a lot better ones out there. I would recommend this book for new readers or people not familiar with the cases of the Warrens.
All of the cases covered are very vague and some end without revealing the resolution of the cases. The book will leave you with more questions than answers but if you're just looking for a quick read this is for you.
This was a short read and packed full of information regarding the experiences of Ed & Lorraine Warren. The artwork by Ed is a bonus for the visual component. Great read for those leaning about the work the Warrens have done.
I'm a big fan of the Warrens. I was excited to read the book, but I thought the book fell flat.
First of all, they skip tenses a lot. You're reading from their point of view, and the next, they are in the first tense as if the person affected wrote the book. Second, the stories are not scary mainly because they leave out lots of details while writing from their view point. I can overlook the typos and grammatical errors if they just made the stories exciting. Some stories left me hanging.
Finally, my favorite part of the book was the story about the young boy who came under possession. It was not part of the Warren`s case files. Even though the story was brief, it was very descriptive and a lot scarier than the entire book put together.
